This Sapcote Reclining Set in brown rattan is for when you want a traditional look that blends into an established garden, but you also want to recline properly without dragging out sun loungers.
We chose a mechanical side handle because it gives you control over small, precise adjustments - not just upright or flat. Pull the handle, find an angle that suits you, and the backrest locks there. That's the key difference from push-back recliners, which rely on your bodyweight to hold position. The moment you lean sideways to grab a drink or shift to talk, a push-back chair springs forward. With this handle, the chair stays exactly where you set it.
Over 23 years at our Leicestershire nursery, we've seen one problem account for more set replacements than any other: rust. Steel frames corrode from the inside out - moisture enters through joints and bolt holes where powder coating cannot fully reach - and by the time you notice rust on the outside, the frame is already weakening.
